How to choose
Your
Wedding
Photographer
Shopping for a wedding
photographer is not like selecting a gown or a bridal bouquet. We have
compiled some guidelines to help you select the person who will capture the
memories that will last a lifetime.
The real task
of the wedding photographer is to portray the emotion through pictures while
at the same time tell a story about the day of the wedding. He has to watch
for details, work fast and most of all care for the event that is unfolding
in front of him. The best way a bride can choose a wedding photographer is
to call and ask about the availability of the photographer for the upcoming
wedding day and to make an appointment to meet with him.
At the meeting, the first
assessment you should make is whether or not you feel comfortable with the
photographer. Is he interested in you and your wedding, or is he more
interested in getting a deposit from you? Also, at this meeting, you
should see a complete coverage of a single wedding. That is a lot more
important than seeing beautiful highlights from many different weddings.
Finally, find out if the person you met initially will be the photographer
at your wedding.
When looking
at the complete coverage, evaluate the work by imagining that this could
have been your wedding coverage. Some photographers have wedding packages
and others work “a la carte” basis. You should choose whatever works best
for you. Make sure that you know exactly what you will be getting. All
agreements between you and your photographer should be in writing. The
contract should include, what your wedding photographs collection include
and any other prices and fees for additional services that you have
requested.
When you have
found the photographer that meets your needs, make the commitment as soon as
possible. You have a lot of other things to be concerned with!
Enjoy
and have the wedding of your dreams.
